The puppies inspect the new floor. Installed but no finish on it yet.

Another beautiful sunset!

Progress is being made in my loft bedroom. First the carpeting was ripped out leaving these antique tiles revealed.

Then I ordered and picked up the flooring material from a local mill.

The installer arrived early this morning and....the puppies are inspecting the completed floor this evening.

It looks a little like a bowling alley in there but there is plenty of space for a king size bed beyond the railing to the right. There's another half of the room that isn't in the photo.

Puppies have seen enough and are heading down the stair.

The installer is back tomorrow to sand it and put the first coat of the finish on.

Early March, flowers started showing up in my garden.

This is my beautiful and functional compost bin. I need to do some work here.

Herb garden residents. More work to be done here.

The deck off of my living room...and it's south/west facing and gets lots of sun. I'm thinking about an awning.

I'm looking forward to seeing what grows on the vine on the arbour.

It was a cloudy rainy day but at the end, the sun broke through for a bit, creating such a beautiful sky. I'm also noticing how much further north the sun is rising and setting.

The setting of the sun was so interesting today. I ran upstairs to take photos three times. It has been mostly a cloudy day. It rained in the morning but since then has only been cloudy, with the clouds moving to the north. I've watched them blowing by all day and was surprised to get a glimpse of the sun late in the day.

At 7:06 pm the sky was quite dark and foreboding with just a hint of sun.

By 7:16 pm the sky was lightening up and beginning to glow.

And finally, at 7:23 pm...this...

How fortunate I am to live here on the edge of the Pacific.

The sky here is so beautiful so often.

I've always thought of skies like this with the light streaming through the clouds as a "God Is Coming" sky.
